Awareness of When Man Boobs Start

Gynaecomastia is the scientific term for man boobs or moobs. Man boobs can be seen in a male as early as the age of 12. To avoid man boobs one must pay attention to their body. In some cases man boobs can be hereditary and could be seen between ages 12 to 18. Parents should be concerned about their child health when they notice excessive weight in specific areas as their child grows.

Research shows 65% of boys develop larger breast during puberty. This is why gym class is important in school. It starts early and if children are being lazy at exercising in gym then most likely their man boobs are there to stay. Jr high school is when boys hit puberty and at that age they are not concerned about their image but by time high school come along their self esteem will be affected if they have moobs. Parents should be more attentive towards what their children are eating and if schools are administering informational sessions about children’s health obesity patterns in youth can be changed.

As a male child with moobs grows their self esteem becomes diminished due to teasing from other children. You would see them hide their chests or dislike swimming and taking their shirt off. Man boobs are okay to see in males during the first two to three years of puberty because by the end of that time period they usually disappear without any diet or physical adjustments. If nothing has changed by then a person can avoid man boobs by increasing things that limit estrogen growth. Vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, kale, brussels sprouts and cabbage are healthy and can help minimize estrogen that is produced in the body.

 

Genetic conditions such as Klinefeldter’s Syndrome can be linked to the causes of man boobs. Klinefelter syndrome is a condition of the chromosome that alters the sexual development in males. This condition causes males to have small testes and also produce low amounts of testosterone. Low testosterone affects a male during puberty which is why gynecomastia is developed. In adults gynecomastia can be caused by certain medications that are used for hypertension, prostate cancer and ulcers lead to man boobs. Also, antibiotics that contain metronidazole, ketoconazole and isoniazid cause moobs.

 

Treating this imbalanced hormone requires checking with doctors to get an idea of your hormone levels. Doctors make recommend a different diet, medication, liposuction, surgery or supplemental treatment for man boobs. But in the meantime stay aware and cut back on dairy and soy products, drink more water and make sure you exercise at least three times a week.
